We love stories and connecting with others.
Our oral history writers do more than just record your family’s story, they also offer companionship by spending time listening to your loved ones.
Initial Meet and Greet
This will serve as an introduction and a way to outline goals of the project, like length of project, types of narratives, and what stories are to be collected.
Weekly or Bi-Weekly Meetings
Oral history writers will meet with an individual on weekly or bi-weekly basis, for 1-2 hours, depending on preference.
Recordings and Transcripts
The writers will provide recorded audio, as part of the service. Text transcripts of the audio can be provided to the individual and/or family, if desired, for an additional fee.
Create Historial Narratives
The oral history writers can write narratives based on these conversations and share these with the individual and/or family, if desired. These are more than just transcripts; the writer will craft a story to reflect specific memories or events.
Narratives can Add Historial Context
For the historical narratives, the oral history writers can conduct research to provide historical context, to clarify locations and names of landmarks, or to provide more information on a subject.

- You’ll receive your recordings, transcripts, and narratives through email.
- We can also provide printed copies (large format text) for your older family members.
